Rod Campbell - Dear Zoo

Az állatos könyvek közül ez az egyik kedvencünk. Nagyon egyszerű mondatszerkezetű, és könnyen feldolgozható.

Maisy Makes Lemonade - Csináljunk mi is limonádét! (Lucy Cousins)

Lucy Cousins Maisy Makes Lemonade: On a hot day, Maisy the beloved mouse shares a nice cold drink with her friend Eddie--but Eddie is so hot, it takes a lot of lemonade to satisfy his thirst. Maisy offers to make a pitcher of lemonade for Eddie, but when she goes to get some cups, she hears a slurping noise!

A mese hanganyaga: Maisy makes Lemonade

INGREDIENTS:

1 1/4 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups fresh-squeezed lemon juice
5 cups cold water
lemon slices for garnish

Squeeze enough lemons to make 1 1/2 cups of juice-- remember to take out any seeds.

Pour the juice into a large pitcher and combine with sugar and water.
Stir well until all the sugar is dissolved.
Add a few lemon slices.
Chill and serve over ice.

Where does it rain? - Az esőről és a víz körforgásáról angolul

Every day millions of tiny drops of water rise up into the air, from rivers and seas. When lots of these tiny drops of water float in the same part of the sky, they make a cloud. If tiny drops bum into each other, they mix together and become bigger drops. When these drops become heavy enough they fall back to Earth. We call this rain. In the country, rain soaks into the ground. In towns it goes down drains. Eventually the rain runs back into the rivers and seas. It then rises again to the sky to make clouds.

The water cycle:

Somewhere, out there,
The sun shining in a little puddle
Thats just part of something we call,
The Water Cycle.

Water from the little puddle turns to gas,
EVAPORATION

The gas forms into puffy clouds,
CONDENSATION

The clouds get heavy and the rain pours down,
PRECIPITATION
And more puddles on the ground

Oh the water cycle round and round
Vapour goes up and the rain comes down
Water in the sky, in the ocean, in the ground
Its all in a cycle going round and round.

Some clouds look like a horses tail, thats cirrus (cirrus!)
Some clouds look like cauliflower, thats cumulus (cumulus!)
Some clouds look like a blanket of grey, thats stratus (stratus!)

They are high clouds, low clouds, and in between clouds
Fog on the ground is also rarely seen clouds

Yeah Yeah Yeah
Oh the water cycle round and round
Vapour goes up and the rain comes down
Water in a river, in a glass, in a cloud,
Its all in a cycle going round and round.

When warm air meets cold air trouble brews
That could mean a storm and thats bad news,
A hurricane can form when that happens near warm water
Look out if that storm reaches land.
Get out of the way, grab your sons and daughters.

Crash!

Bash!

Boom!

And Kabam
Oh no! We forgot uncle...

Dan

Im ok, Im alright, I was just hiding in the garbage can.
He was hiding in the garbage can

Oh the water cycle round and round
Vapour goes up and the rain comes down
Water in a person, in a well deep down,
Its all in a cycle going round and round.

Evaporation: Evaporation is when the sun heats up water in rivers or lakes or the ocean and turns it into vapor or steam. The water vapor or steam leaves the river, lake or ocean and goes into the air.

Condensation: Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds. This is called condensation.

Precipitation: Precipitation occurs when so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore. The clouds get heavy and water falls back to the earth in the form of rain, hail, sleet or snow.

Collection: When water falls back to earth as precipitation, it may fall back in the oceans, lakes or rivers or it may end up on land. When it ends up on land, it will either soak into the earth and become part of the “ground water” that plants and animals use to drink or it may run over the soil and collect in the oceans, lakes or rivers where the cycle starts all over again.
